ahhh, fall!
Posted on November 20, 2010
We went on a hike to Raven Rock State Park the other weekend. The leaves were just beautiful and the weather was perfect. I really enjoyed every part of that walk and I was able to capture some irreplacable photos of Dean and his Dad. One of me too and some awesome photos of the changing foliage.
Last fall, I had cut this paragraph out from my “Whole Living” magazine. I love the perspective the writing gives you and I love this magazine’s vision, in general. If only I could portray my thoughts so fluidly…someday! I thought I would share this with you…
Reinvigorate:
Change is in the air. You can see it, of course, with the colors transforming and all of nature’s moving parts starting to shiver and spin. But you can also feel it-the elemental shift that happens internally, viscerally. You begin to crave warmer foods and cozier corners. You find yourself growing quieter, more aware, each sense sharpening. Indulge in the richness while you can, letting the shift in season invigorate your health, enliven your home, draw you more completely inside. This is, after all, what harvest time is for: REAPING WHAT YOU SOW, GATHERING UP YOUR TREASURES, AND HOLDING THEM, WITH GRATITUDE, IN BOTH HANDS. – Terri Trespicio, October 2009, wholeliving.com
I took these photos of Dean on our back deck and just in time we had a storm the night after which blew all of the beautiful yellow leaves off.
Happy early Thanksgiving!
Enjoy and be grateful, Samantha
