Happy Saturday! We were at the house all day because Hurricane Irene was coming towards NC and we weren’t sure what was going to happen. Even though we are 2 hours from the coast…it’s better to be safe than sorry! We had some strong winds and rain but that’s about it. Needless to say I had time to edit these photos from Dean’s first trip to the zoo last Wednesday. We went with his gal friend, Tully, and her mom…we had such a nice visit and we can’t wait to go again!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Samantha

Sidenote to NC clients: If you or anyone you know needs photos before we move to Arizona, please call/email to let know! We are out of here mid-September and I already have a handful of sessions planned. However, I want to make sure to accommodate everyone as I won’t be coming back to NC. Thanks!

amazing.

Hi and happy Tuesday!

Pregnancy and birth is nothing short of amazing!  After I had my son I would just stare it at him and wonder how he ever fit in my belly. There is no other word to describe it but amazing! Here is a before and after photo that I took of my good friend and her little 10-day old baby girl.

Enjoy them, Samantha

We took the first photo a few weeks back and then again when baby Lillian was 10 days old! Isn't baby Lillian gorgeous?? Below are some B&W ones I love.

Have a nice Tuesday all!

HAPPY MONDAY ALL!

I love this saying and would love something like this framed in my office someday!

Then I saw this quote, "keep calm and carry a camera", I love this one even more! I found this on the savvyphotographer.com's site. Now if only it was in lime green :)

I love this one as well...you can order this from photojojo.com. I might need this one too!

new journey and new boots.

Hi everyone!

Samantha H. Photography is moving to southern Arizona in a month! In celebration of our upcoming move, Dean (our son) needed a pair of cowboy boots before we left for the Southwest! I thought you would enjoy these photos of Dean and the update on the Arizona move. I will still be coming home to Minneapolis for photo trips and wedding photography as always.

Enjoy, Samantha

the little chubby legs inside the cowboy boots are SO adorable! I just can’t get enough of these photos-there were a lot more to choose from these are just my favorites!

tiffany & gavin: engagement session

Posted on August 1, 2011

Here is a good story for you! I met this lovely lady on a connection flight back from Atlanta to Fayetteville. We happened to sit by each other and start chatting while Dean (then 9 months old) was all over the place! I found out that Tiffany was also from good ol’ Minnesota (what a small world) and her soldier who was also from Minnesota and stationed in Fort Bragg like my husband, had just asked her to marry him!! I told Tiffany I was a photographer and we exchanged information.

Then about 5 months later I find myself driving down with the family to Myrtle Beach, SC to take engagement photos for them. She is now living and working as a nurse down here. So as I complete my how small the world is speech, please enjoy this photos of a couple so in love! One more thing I am SO excited to take their wedding photos in 2012 back in the Minnesota homeland. Happy Monday! More previews to come soon.

Enjoy, Samantha
